    Discovery 2 Td5 Intercooler Change

    Hi, I changed and cleaned my d2 td5 intercooler and notice like an wooshing noise when changing gear and reving the engine.

    Sounds like the Fan is on all the time or something?

    I don't know if it normal or just me

    sounds like you've left an intercooler hose off

    Check the vacuum hose on the barb on the steel manifold that goes under the PAS hoses between turbo and intercooler is reattached.
    Also this manifold can rub against the PAS (Or ACE if you have it) lines and wear a hole in it.

    I checked all of those things and its good, maybe its more air being drawn through as i replaced the radiator as well.

    its definitely sucking air to the intercooler somewhere....triple check your hoses, look for splits and make sure the hoses are seated properly

    Do you have a snorkel? Whined down you passenge window an inch, if the noise gets significantly louder it might just me your sucking more air. Induction noise is cool.

    yeah i have an snorkel, i changed the intercooler, radiator, harmonic balancer all at once.

    So dont know if the sound is normal or something is wrong
