1. You must read the fault code to see what's the fault cos there are default modes when TC is still active others when not and 10 possible causes for 3 amigos even though hub and SVSs are the most common

2. Dont start to replace sensors randomly cos in most cases the problem is with the whole hub not with the sensor, you can check each sensor's resistance with multimeter(provided they are not the hardwired type) it must be between 950 - 1100 Ohm, if the resistance is good but you still get sensor related fault code it's due to a play in the reluctor ring so new hub is needed(which comes with sensr fitted)

Wheels, individually. Uses the ABS system.

Wouldn't having the centre, front and rear diffs locked make the TC redundant?

That would be my understanding. It would also make the thing pretty keen to proceed in a straight line...

The TC will come into play ONLY if the SLABS gets a higher input from a wheel speed sensor and put brake on that wheel untill both wheels on the axle have the same speed or it will put brakes on both wheels on one axle if the average speed input of that axle is higher than the other untill both axle speeds are equal so as long as there are lockers all around and CDL locked it's not supposed to have any differene which means the TC will rest and that's valid only for the facelift where it's still active cos on early modells is disabled by the locked diff input, there are some cases when the TC will act on the wheels of one axle with locked CDL (just in the case when the CDL input was cut on early modells) then it will be a "conflict" between them and it's possible to lose motion or if you force it to overheat the brakes, happened to me as i cut the wire based on what was recommended on certain sites before i studied the system then i connected back the wire...since then i replaced the SLABS with the new unit so no probs anymore so my advice is to not cut the CDL input on early modells, use the systems as they were conceived or fit the uprated SLABS (SRD500070)

Ok mine is an pre face lift 99 model and I had front and rear locked and the TC light was coming on,

So idk what's happening there

With the centre diff not being locked one axle is at a different speed to the other.
