Are either of the drive shafts rotating ?
If D2a does locking the centre diff make a difference ?

Hello,
Went to reverse out of the driveway in the Disco.
The auto felt like it was grabbing at reverse up the drive so I rolled forward and tried again. No drive what so ever after that.
No drive forward or back.
The motor is running smoothly as ever.
Checked it for fault codes with a Hawkeye....None.
The transmission is not leaking, I assume that the fluid is correct level.
The gear readout on the dash is correct and showing selected gears so I assume that the XYZ switch is ok.
The transmission was rebuilt and new torque convertor installed roughly 100k km ago.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Jason

Since it's been parked up so long, has the transmission brake frozen on?
Hello Deano,
It initially had drive, it was a bit grabby reversing. When it was put into drive, it lost all drive.
The front drive shaft was recently replaced. The drive shaft on the rear has been regularly greased. The rubber coupling to the rear diff looks to be in good condition(replaced a few years back).
Locking the centre diff makes no difference.
Cheers,
Jason

I know you said diff lock engaged. Confirmed TCase not in neutral.?
Fluid check first....
The box is most likely due another “reco”
Talk to the reco mob who did the job and see what their thoughts are.
100 k after a reco is a pretty lame effort. But it depends on understanding/ interpretation of reco for some.
I have been having similar issues with mine the last couple of days. Will have to wait for a seconds to a minute or so till it engages into gear, and as well has a hard time shifting up, getting higher than usual revs. Just had the transmission oil flushed out and fresh added with an additive to help clean out any clogs.

Are you going to reflush it soon? additive to clear out clogs, those clogs will end up dislodged else where.Originally Posted by ThorTd5;2772799 Just had the transmission oil flushed out and fresh added with [COLOR=#0000ff
