    Three amigos diagnosis confirmation.

I have gone through and through The Good Oil, however, I'm new to this mechanicing.
I get the three amigos. Nanocom says front right ABS sensor intermittent.
This could be the hub, the sensor, or the abs connector,
I have raised the wheel off the road and pushed and pulled the top of the wheel. No play at all.
The connector the black and yellow one, is the next suspect. Do these pull apart? not for me it didn't. Is this where the connector is bypassed and a section of wire soldered in?

    TIA

Julian, the original fit sensors were 2 piece on the front wheels, they had a connector.Tthis connector sometimes causes a fault. There are now longer lead sensors available which bypass that connector and you hard wire them in at the ecu end.

As per vid per rangieman, the plug on the passenger side sits below the the ABS module, you see it clipped to the inner guard

I would first just open the connector and spray it with electric circuit cleaner.

If that fixes it good. I had a low signal on my RH rear and just pulled the conector apart and cleaned it. That was about 4 years ago and hasn't come back.

Next if not fixed , I would inspect the whole cable for wear etc , and if no visible damage remove the connector and crimp or solder the wires together and seal with heat shrink.

Yeah, just pull it apart while thinking angry thoughts, like where your tax dollars are being spent or something...

I pulled it apart, gave it a good spray with the contact cleaner. Drove to Geelong and back tonight. Three Amigos popped up at the Kororoit Creek turn off. Bugger. Now to the next part, the soldered joint removing the connector. See how that works.
Funnily enough, that one re occurence gave 20 instances to the abs computer, no reset on ignition off and on. :-(
