    In both of those recoveries a nice steady pull from a winch would most likely Not have resulted in ripping off the bullbars, using the chassis instead of the bar would also work as well.

    Nice you linked 2 videos of people who were using a snatch strap incorrectly. No surprise why it went wrong.

    Not saying the bull bar should be used, but with a bit of common sense neither of those would have happened

    In those two cases a chassis recovery would have been far more superior but we all know that don`t we
    So do we go on the correct recovery method Merry Go Round again for old time sake

    Those IFS 4WD's are a PITA to recover as there isn't much to hook onto up the front end of them.

    Snatch recovery is a dangerous practice, maybe some of the knowledgeable might like to share the correct fitment points of a snatch strap and their rated recovery point with pictures. Recovery points have been discussed many times in the past, there are very few options that are safe.

    Have a close look at my photos. You can see a rated shackle in the tow hitch.
