Thread: Td5 Exhaust Manifold..

I'm going to hazard a guess(ie. no experience), but I'd say worth a go for the money, with the caveat that you'd have to support the turbo with one of those manifolds.
The vibrations of the TD5 with the turbo hanging off that manifold ... 99.9% likely that the welds, if not the actual tubing will crack in short time.

There have been some in the past who bought these and found that they cracked in short order.
Also some did not allow the aircon to fit.
IMHO, you are better with a cast manifold, ground straight, the ribs between cylinders ground down, and the holes elongated most at each end. Then get it ceramic coated inside and out if possible.
Mine has been not leaking now for about 3-4 years, touch wood.
Oh and I used strong Mercedes studs and Belleville washers under the nuts.

And don't let it get over 700C.

Allisport sell a higher flow, ceramic coated manifold. If your planning on keeping your beast for a while it might be a consideration

Definitely the thing you only do if your keeping your car for the long haul. I do like the way it doesn’t restrict the exhaust flow like the standard does.

Allisport and others tried and failed - hence why Allisport tooled up the Cast version.
