Mine has done the same from when i first got it. Have always been meaning to stick a meter on the glow plug line and confirm it's some sort of after burn to clean things off. I do a lot of car rally's with radio's going all day and don't have a second battery, but have a solar panel on the roof. The voltmeter lets me keep an eye on things so i don't get stuck, so i notice the drop for a couple of seconds when you turn it off.
