    auto trans query

After sorting out all of the ecu problems I have taken the d2 for a few test drives first thing I noticed was that when the trans is cold it wont shift into 4th gear until the trans warms up ,about 3-4 k then it is ok .I have changed oil and filter and no change and no faults on nanocom .Also not sure at what revs changes occur as I am used to my freelander 2 which changes up at about 21 hundred and drops back to 15 hundred where as the discovery goes up to about 3000 and drops back to 21 hundred .I am not sure what is normal for the d2 power wise especially at 100 k ,feels that there is very little left for passing ,but once again this is a comparison to the f2 .

I think that all sounds normal. It takes a bit to warm up. Don’t be concerned.
If you ever have the need to remove the tranny or engine I seriously recommend the HD flex plate and Torque Converter from Ashcroft in the UK. Then get a td5inside remap to suit. It transforms the driving experience.

Yeah that's how they operate, they have a software timer that ensures that the auto won't lock up for varying amounts of time depending what temperature the engine was when started, as well as some other factors.
