Petrol emissions are very nasty for humans - Benzine - big cancer causing substance.
Anyone sitting behind a vehicle in traffic is just gulping that stuff down.

Particulates are not good either, but then neither is the dust inhaled when Offroad, at the Crushjng plant etc.

I have to manage my Crushing crews with health checks, dust monitoring etc. any small particle you inhale can harm you. The more you inhale, the worse it can be.

Of course Silica is another big nasty - best be avoiding Desert and dusty beach driving.

Have a search for the following statistics - Lead Levels in Australia from about 1980 onwards. The graph trends downwards quite quickly as take up of Unleaded increases.
Now look at the instances of Cancer. Increases almost directly relative over the same timeframe. Only major environmental change - introduction of ULP (full of Benzine).

Kill the humans, According to one set of research its the sheer number of them thats responsable for so many planetary calamities.

    the numbers dont lie..

climate change has only been a thing since the people have been here,
extinction of multiple species only since humans have been here
drought, flood and famine, Again, only since humans have been here
so many things that were never reported about before people are now issues...

Not true, The climate has gone from hot to cold, ice age and back, several times, before humans got here

Thanks Ron, that would keep me on the right side of the Mikes.

Do all versions of the TD5 use the same valve?

Pop the inlet manifold off and check out the nice, sludgy build up inside and the EGR valve itself Ian, plus note how restrictive the EGR valve is, then decide. EGR delete.

Steinbauer says there is no change to fuel pressure, so it should make no difference to emissions.
It gets lots of highways runs, so the EGR seems to be working fine.
