    Latest DIIA entertainment

    Hi All,

Recently Lady Daphne II (DIIA Td5 auto) behaved oddly when overtaking (fortunately on an overtaking lane, not general highway). Kicked down a gear and began accelerating. Then proceeded to rev well into the 3000s but very little actual acceleration. Just barely managed to pass before the end of the lane. Once back in 4th lock-up, all seemed normal, with strong 'gentle' acceleration without dropping out of lock-up.

I 'may' has seen a momentary flicker of the MIL lamp when putting the right foot down. Does a momentary over-boost cause this frankly dangerous response to the call for maximum power? Thanks as always.

The engine light won't come on with an overboost situation, I have had it come on though with dodgy loom wiring near the engine ecu, it can flash on and off again in an instant, and also provide an engine response similar to the aforementioned.

    Cheers

Thanks for that James. Looks like I may need to check my injector loom for oil. I checked it two years ago after buying the Td5 and there was just a smidgeon of oil. Might be worse now...
