LT230 serial number for CL or not.

Looking at RAVE, it has serial numbers stating 41D does not have interlock, 42D does have interlock fitted. Is that it?
Did the early Disco 2 LT230 have serial starting with 42D? The went to 41D, then back to 42D?

    Thanks

The interlock solenoid was fitted only for North America and Japan on automatics. You dont need the serial number cos if the solenoid is there you should see it but why would you bother with that cos it's very unlikely that the wiring is there unless you imported your vehicle from N A or Japan ?

Thanks for the explanation. Then what serial numbers have the CDL internals?

Is it possible to identify a transfer case that has the CDL inernals from thr serial number? If so what are the serial numbers?

As I am goingto be stuck at home for a month or three I thought I'd keep my self occupied witha TC tear down and rebuild.

Yeah the serial number denotes if it has CDL internals or not, just check that there is an cdl lever ontop of the transfer case

All i know for sure is that those with serial numbers 61D, 62D, 69D or 70D. dont have it but the simple way to see if it has CDL or not is to watch for the spigot cos those wihout CDL dont have it

without CDL internals looks like this
    LT230 without CDL.jpg
and with CDL looks like this
