Good on you for being game enough to give them a shot, hope they're reliable enough once you've solved the issues.

Agreed with above, also thanks for communicating the issues to us.
That will put a lot of potential buyer off IMO
Better for local supply and fit dealers though which is a good thing

Keep documenting the story Troy. After you run for a while also pay to do an early oil change, and recheck tolerances.

If they do fail, you will probably be able to do a publicity deal with ARB later on to show the difference between Australian engineered and designed products.

Good luck. HF ET128 lockers (Chinese)🤞

Sounds like your lucky that you have the time and patience to keep going through all this and a fair bit of your own machinery skills and equipment available. Sounds like the for the majority of us less technical folks this would be beyond abilities. I hope after all your efforts it works out for you!

It also depends how long you are going to keep the car. Keep it long enough and you get value from money spent.

I love my D2 and will take it to my grave, so how much I spend on it does not matter. I get to enjoy my spending.

Apologies for this being off topic, but couldn't help myself.

Back on topic, my 03 has front and rear Ashcroft air lockers with 4.11 gears, pegged and reverse cut crown wheel for the front diff.

D2dave, did you do the work yourself? I like the idea of 4.11.

Out of curiosity does the changed ratio improve the EGTs. I've head it does?

I purchased the diffs second hand but they were brand new. The person I got them from purchased from Ashcroft but never used them.

I do however have the expertise to be able to do this had I not found these, but this was much cheaper than purchasing parts and doing it myself.

    As for EGT's? Don't know as I don't have a gauge yet. Read post 6 here. Disco 2 - 3D printed parts

I am running 32's though to help offset the 3.11's
