    How does the air control work? Just some solenoid air valves to switch between each end of the ram?

    I was going to fit an old push pull valve from an old maxi drive setup. Just for the retro feel.

    But will be going solonoid now that ill be using compressed air.

    It is a single action ram / single solenoid actuation with an internal return spring, however I have since added an external spring (9lbs/4kg pull) to always ensure positive “snap back” disengagement of the CDL as would occur if it were a dual action ram but without the added complexity of installation .....

    How did you go getting 12v coils? 24v is easy

    Try changing the detent spring

    I bought a vacuum cdl kit from the UK.
    Part of the kit is a replacement detent spring it is a lot softer than the original.

    Nice. didn't even think of that as an option

    Might actually remove it totally. Not sure its needed with a ram actuator?
