    Any faults logged?

The only times I've ever had illogical problems like this is with bad earthing, having said that, a flywheel that had come loose from the crank could cause an issue I guess.

During the diagnose we've got several strange and some times unrelated readings, the worst was from CPS but others made tricks too so we decided to replace the whole harness then just removed all plugs from the old one to keep them as spares and binned that **** so i can't tell you exactly. IMO it was a problem on the ECU's earth path somewhere

Was the reason I asked about the injector pulse test as I was called into a local workshop a couple of years ago when they had a similar issue. When I pulse tested the injectors I noticed that while you could hear a very faint click of the solenoids it was nowhere near what you would expect from a healthy one.
Diagnoses was the same ..... faulty earth path, harness replaced and all ok.
