Fantastic, thanks for this. It's good that these are an option for the Disco2 that can work.
    Cheers

It's a real shame the dynamic's are 30mm (and that a 2mm wheel spacer would also be illegal)

I’d get bothered! The wheel isn’t rated to hold the weight on the studs.

Don't forget about the requirement for the nut to engage in length at least the stud/bolt diameter, which is the reason why the X5 rims on a D3/D4 need long-shank nuts where the shank fits inside the hole. 14mm x 1.5mm pitch studs/bolts/nuts require more than 9 threads engaged.

Why not just run 18 inch D2 rims?

A 2mm spacer would push the wheel out further giving the same wheel position as a +28mm offset wheel. The wheel needs to get closer inwards by 2mm to be NCOP VSB 14 legal.

When I went through the engineering approval on my vehicle thankfully they weren't phased by the 2mm.

    For me, two reasons:
    1. The offset is not ideal when moving up to larger tyres. Being able to push the wheel out helps reduce the tyre rub on turning and widens the track.
    2. I'd rather run smaller diameters - 16" ideally, 17" would be the next option. For me the purpose of this thread was not to just focus on the 18" BMW wheels, I hoped there might be a smaller option.
