Thread: Throttle response modification.

    As far as I know all throttle controllers just mimic throttle pedal percentage, so any throttle by wire car could be fitted if a compatible one were designed.

    For instance....
    you push the throttle in to 20% but the controller sends a throttle request of 35% to the engine ECU.

    Anyone that has diagnostic gear and a throttle controller should be able verify this.

    On a TD5 I would just be mapping the throttle map to ramp quicker.

    Do it for the high range and be done. Leave the low range throttle map alone.

    I agree I think the companies that make them just make one electronic brain box, and then the only difference for each make, model, etc, is the wiring looms and plugs.

    I'd fix the cruise control as well
    + add preset speed limits
