Thread: Maf cleaning

I have used meths plenty of times in a bunnings spray bottle with no issues.

I brought CRC maf cleaner to be on the safe side the instructions say to spray on hot wires this I thought was a big no no but go figure it worked but as previous posts have mentioned my egr is gone has been turned off in the ecu so probably not needed but it is clean now thanks all for your assistance

BTW there are dozens of you tube videos on this subject and the ones I looked at say brake cleaner is a NO.

Hi all I recently posted about maf cleaning it was suggested that if the egr was deleted that the maf was no longer of any use I have a stage 2 tune as best I can make out the egr part of the ecu has been turned off. So if I unplug the maf will the car run better will it use more fuel or will it make no real difference as my maf is in good working order.

What version of TD5 do you have?
