Lucky for me I didn't say there was then.

Edit: If you are happy paying the kind of prices quoted here for the jobs that any halfway decent mechanic can do then I'm thrilled for you.

Edit Edit. You do know that OEM is not the same as genuine, don't you? Britpart has OEM in their catalogue. ANY workshop can buy them.

Nope. Indie to me means Independent Land Rover Specialist, although there are very likely some very competent Joe Blows.

At the risk of being seen to hijack threads, many, many of us actually want to help if we can. As for the replicating. Maybe Ron still has the measurements.

How bad is the leak? Mine used to deflate when parked for a bit. PITA to return and find the thing sitting on the bump stops. I would have to shake the car to get it to reinflate. It always stayed up whilst driving. If it's like that i wouldn't worry about it for a couple of weeks.

As mentioned, the compressor is an easy repair. Landrover Discovery 2 Range Rover L322 Air Suspension Compressor Pump Repair Kit | eBay

Yep. I sold an XYZ switch a few weeks ago. I now live in fear....

The right suspension goes down to the bumper whenever the car is parked for more than 5 minutes. So a decent leak. I guess I should probably check the lines before blaming the airbag... But I can hear it coming from behind the wheel whenever I park the car.

    That's probably a little extreme.

RAVE says to use TestBook to depressurize the system. Sounds like you won't need to...

These are not the good brand, but they say they're in Vic and they might get you out of trouble... Just a thought.

My car was due for a service in early December - back in October Ritters rang me and suggested that I book it in then so I didn't miss out, which I did.

When the intercooler went a couple of weeks ago (have a look at the thread on here) they took my car in (although they were fully booked), found an OEM part and fitted it, all in about a week so I had it back before last Friday.

    Agree with the above.

Ritters do a good job but in my experience ( they are my closest indie) charge over double the price of good alternative workshops.

Turns out the fuel leak was because the screw plate on top of the fuel pump had come loose. So that's one thing off the list.

Bit disappointing that Ritter didn't bother investigating that far given I told them the car ****ed diesel at the servo when I fuelled it up last.

They went straight to cracked tank, without checking.

I tried diagnosing the air leak but of course there was no air bleeding out at that time. Then drove the car to the shops, came back to the right suspension bottoming out. Drove home, engaged the suspension lift, squirted soapy water everywhere, no leak. Now keeping a bottle of soapy water in the car, but I feel it's unlikely to be a hose leak if it's inconsistent...?

Brake pads and discs you can do yourself. Some one will be near you with a Nanocom, that may help with the ACE issue. I bought a compressor rebuild kit and fitted that.
