The door latches are rated at over 1T. I would be more worried about the step breaking.
Are these ok? I wonder if they will break the door latch. I have been given one, rated at 150kg.

I've used them for a couple of years with no detriment that I can see, they also have a sharp point on the end to use as a glass breaker

The latch itself is rated to 1t burst force, the metal panel however isn’t resilient enough to resist bending under heavy loading downwards - just designed to not tear outwards in an impact.
So be aware you can bend / flex your b pillar panel.
