I replaced my last set around 4 years ago. OEM Contitech. Never tried the cheaper ones and only $55 ea more than Dunlop from Paddocks.

SubscriberAfter 15 years of ownership I found my D2 with the passenger rear suspension sitting on the bump stop. Time for new air springs.
Trouble is, there seems a vast choice of replacements at almost any price point. I’m tempted to go for a pair of the Dunlop brand which I believe are okay, although I assume Contitech would be a better spring. I could go for cheap Chinese, but are they worth the risk even at a quarter of the price?
Anyone bought a set recently?

SubscriberThanks Simon, I’ll get a quote from Paddocks but I suspect shipping may have sent the cost up way too much for my liking.

I'm buying all kind of chinese stuff through aliexpress since i bought some bearmach bits from UK and some parts had label with "made in china" on them at higher price so i made an experiment with these too https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006128307512.html just for fun about 4 months ago, i keep them for when the Dunlops i have will fail then i'll fit both to see how they last, fortunately it's a 10 minute job... all i can say is that they seem well built on first sight... how good they are we'll see. I bought a brake light switch from there for 14 USD(shipping included) about 2 years ago, no disappointment.

There's Chinese and there's Chinese. I'm sitting at a 12 yo Mac that gets used everyday and rarely gets switched off. I use Milwaukee cordless tools, have done for maybe 8 years, never a problem. Bought other stuff that I might as well have thrown away without opening the box.
SF, thanks for that link. At that price I might as well reinstate the SLS, and keep the coils around just in case. Hope the compressor still works....
Gotta watch out for Chines "copper" washers though. Just FYI

But, I reckon I could get the springs out of mine, and bags back in, in under an hour. I'm getting on, and the jacking is slow work.... I already have the adaption for the 2" lift, which would save time.

I'll make a video next time when i'll fit those chinese bags... i have a big 10T crocodile jack which lifts it in 10 seconds then as mr. shack said it's a child's play cos only the genuines have voss connectors which are a bit fiddly, mines are already Dunlops with push fit connectors... i meant 10 minutes a side but in a "competition mode" i feel able to change both in 10 minutes maybe even less cos it's almost the same like changing a bulb
