    Thanks for comments

Sprayed soapy water on the bags - it leaks while trying to be on normal, meaning the RHS leaked while it quickly deflated, ut stay up when extended.

    looks like new bags.......

If I take out weight from the rear of the car you can hear the bags deflating to pre load pressures.

Yes you can buy a remote to adjust the height of your rear end - it was designed so that you could lower the car to match trailer heights or lower the car to make it easier to unload.

I have used it to make it easier for the elderly to get in the car (mine has a
    2" lift & 32" tyres).

The remote works when all doors are shut & with the engine running - there is a significant amount of travel.

It was an option to purchase & if you do buy one it has to be programmed to the car.

I was lucky enough to get one at the right price a while ago.

I have considered purchasing a remote to enable the lowering of the car, but at $300 odd for the remote, and another $50 - $100 to program it, it just doesn't seem worth it.

Now, if I can find a way to get a signal to the SLABS ECU the same as the lowering signal, I would be one happy camper.

I think I understand how the remote side works, but am unsure of what this signal actually consists of. Is it +12v, +5v, -12v, -5v, or is it a data stream?

If I can get this little bit of info, I can fashion up a remote & receiver that will work like the factory one, at a lower price. The factory remote utilizes the receiver for the normal arm / disarm & lock / unlock from the key fob. My intention is to connect a new & separate receiver direct to the SLABS ECU.

On the other hand, if I can get hold of a spare ECU, I may be able to work it out for myself....

the nanocom has a feature that lets you manually raise and drop each side as a test to enusre the system is working, my guess is it would be a simple job for some wiz to tap into the nanocom and make a feature to raise and lower the sus as required. comeone someone with a clue
