Well there it is, sitting shiny across the road and it's all mine. A 1999 Disco II V8 manual.
After several aborted attempts at buying a P38A (owning one is still on the to-do list) I am very happy to again own a Disco.
I rarely go back on old ground - that is, I have never bought the same kind of car twice (except a few P76s when younger)- but here I am with another 1999 Disco V8 in Epsom Green!
Anyway, thanks everybody for all the good info. No major plans for the car yet, just fix the few broken bits of trim etc. Have ordered the parts and workshop CDs and I couldn't help myself but I had to buy those extra factory cupholders from the US. I already have a ScanGauge II that will hook straight up but I will have to start saving for the CDL linkage and a spare set of 16in rims and AT tyres...

Thanks mate - and yep, they are good cars. Love that V8 and this is the first V8 manual I've owned since - I think - my P76 V8 in circa 1982. And what is it about the Disco driving position? I know some people that hate it but for me it fits like a glove. Really good to be driving one of these again.Congrats on the buy mate. I really happy with the driving position . the thing that fooled me was the indicators on the left side of the column and the bonnet latch on the passenger side ..... as you can see it's my first disco![]()
Congrats!
Its good to see another disco V8 manual driver on the forum.![]()
