Yes, 2" taller spring swap is definitely possible without compressing springs.

The trick is to get the car up on stands, undo what needs undoing & lower both sides of the axle at once. To do the front, you will need to remove the cross member bolted to the chassis.

Í guess I'd be about as capable as the average home tinkerer, and I managed the swap of springs & shockies in 4 hours using only my bottle jack, a pair of stands, wheel brace, socket set & spanners.

No probs, i have lovells in mine, but mine are a tad taller i had to use spring compressors for mine because of the lift i have now but the OMEs i had before these were a 40mm lift and i didn't need spring compressors, i can get my hands on compressors if needed.

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.

    Thanks Baz

well all, fitted the lovells 2" lift (shocks and springs) and looking forward to seeing how the car handles now, first impression alot smoother over the bumps so should be good offroad.
special thanks to redback for all his assistance and time and tools.
also thanks to discowhite for the lend of the compressors, owe you a beer
unfortunately we took no pictures but will get some next weekend showing the results.

    cheers

Stewie they supplied me springs with the wrong load rating and the wrong length shocks, it was only after doing the Simpson we found they weren't up to the load we were carring, i managed to to have the shocks changed, but ARB refused to replace the springs.

Hence the bigger lift and Lovells.
