Just a question on these Rhino lookalikes, how does the quality compare to the real thing?, I know it wont be as high, but will it last?, or will it fall apart on the first corrugared track?
Also can the mounts for the cross bars be moved nearer each end?
Cheers

My rack. 3 x heavy duty crossbars with a basket from my other vehicle with its mounts cut off. Its a little narrow but I have my high lift and shovel on the side which makes up the shortfall and my rod holder on the other side. I still have some modifying I want to do as in getting it down a little lower, making a wind deflector on the front and cutting the mesh off the sides as its just weight I dont need.

Nice rack Stallie I like them
Thanks Sharkee. It's one of the voyager racks ones from the US. I bought it at Peninsula Rangie in Melbourne.
It's pretty light but seems strong enough. I'm 86kg and happy to walk on one bar. Only issues have been having to retighten in with a load on going over severe bumps (eg floodway on Oodnadatta that you didn't see...) there'd be a bang as the rack hadn't been pulled completely flush (gap of maybe 1mm on one peg per side) to the roof mount and would flex slightly. After some trial and error I got it flexed and tightened flush to the gutters.
Empty there's a light amount of wind noise, I didn't run it long enough to know the fuel burn difference though.
Little bits of the powder coating wore off where I had a log tied on top for firewood on the Tanami corrugations. I bought some inch wide clear tubing to put under tied down metal loads (high lift jack) etc.
I'm happy with it all up. Was $1100.
I thought they were an overseas one. Looks good and blends in well I think.
Thats the trouble with roofracks, how tight to do them up is the thing!
Steve
