Went into some of the muddy sections, "Doesn't look that deep, you can see the bottom!" I thought.
Wrong.
About 2/3rds of the way through, the top of the bar descended underwater, as we sank into clay-y mud up to the sills.
Bit more loud pedal and I was clear, good fun :D
Over Anzac Day weekend (yep took a day off on the Friday to have a "long" weekend, took the family and the D2 up to Parachilna Gorge.
We were camped along a creek, with a nice 4wd track just to the right of where we were, which I went up and down a few times over the weekend. Also took the time to travel along Public Access Routes 3, 4 and 5. The wife drove in 4L for the first time over the weekend, admittedly over "simple" tracks, with nothing too technical, but enough to get her determining what gear a certain area should be tackled in.... mind you that backfired on me, as when i was driving she was telling me what gear I should be in, and chiding me when I was in what, in her eyes, was the wrong gear.
Got my own back, found the steepest hill climb i could find. Went up it, and her eyes were shut tight on the way up, and then on the way down the other side.
The D2 performed very very well :)
