Still looks to posh..Maybe some LEAF springs would help improve the look & authenticity to being a landy...

Picked this 2000 TD5 Auto up a couple of days ago. It's pretty much stock with only an ECU upgrade done.

I found a leaking brake master cylinder yesterday so it's booked in for some corrective surgery next week at the dealers mechanic.

As to be expected it has a couple of oil leaks. The front camshaft seal had been RTV'd up but was weeping oil - this had been replaced with a new seal. On the todo list is replacing the rocker cover gasket to fix a leak on the driver side rear of the motor, installing a dual battery system and fitting a discoverytd5.com CDL actuator.

Thanks, it seems to be nice truck to drive. I got the CDL linkage about 3 weeks ago in anticipation of another D2 that ended up failing an inspection report. The linkage is very well made and there is definitely no buyers remorse involved :cool:

Here are a couple of photos of My recently purchased Disco that I have called Chaffy as it sound like a chaff cutter at idle.

It is a D2 TD5 manual with a number of mods already completed.:cool:

Yep.

Was waiting for a friend to arrive and decided to test out the flex on Chaffy while I was waiting for the plane to arrive.

Even funnier was the 100 series Landcruiser that came screaming over to offer to pull me out thinking I was stuck. :angel:

got good flex at the front, i'd be interested to know whats the go with the front to give it that much flex ?
