In Jordos picture below, behind the radio, you can see the space where it looks like sunroof controls might go on the "optioned up" vehicles. Is it possiblet o fit a radio there?
i put mine (gme tx4400) on the roof outa the way and put a small external speaker in behind it

this thread inspired me to move my gme tx3100 to the spot i wanted to mount it when i brought it but was a little scaredto cut a hole in the plastic cover and it seemed hard to run the wires up there i was surprised it was not that hard
as some power wires were already up there

Hi i made a block of wood to the shape/angle that i wanted and glued it to the housing it does not look that good but as the head unit only weighs 168 grams it seems plenty strong enough its also a pretty snug push in fit in the panel![]()
Thanks Gerard.
I like what you have done there - may look at something similar myself. Where I have mine mounted (below the drinks holder) works - but you can't see the head unit when you have the drinks holder pulled out. As I'm sometimes in areas where I have to change channels frequently, your option looks much better suited to what I need - and it looks the part too.

Do you have ACE fitted?.....I'm really impressed with the installation but I know that there are supposed to be wires and fitments for ACE up there somewhere behind that panel and wondered if the installation would be restricted by it. I guess I should simply remove the panel and look, just wondered though.
Hi mick no mine has not got ace.i found an electrical plug up there that three wires, black ,green ,light green, and found the light green was a ignition switched power and black was the earthnot sure what they are up there for maybe sunroof/dvd/ace, tryed to look at rave cd but electrical diagrams i find confusing
may be one else can tell us what they do !cheers gerard
They should be power for the sunroof switches.
