Advice needed - Disco 2 Broken body mount
Hi all,
After reading a post here about the front body mounts, the one just behind the front drivers wheel, I have just decided to inspect mine as the car was drivers side nose down. Low and behold the whole top of the mount is missing chassis mount, but with the nut still in place. No wonder the drivers side was nose down by some 15mm. Darn used car dealer I bought it off and him being the road worthy conductor as well.
My question/concern is, is this a very costly and difficult fix to have performed? What is the general procedure required? Has anyone had this problem in the past? Who in the Brisbane/Gold Coast area is the best to go to to get this problem rectified? Also considering I will have to get someone to weld the top of the bonnet locking platform on either side of the radiators and the passenger front door pillar where the door check strap locates to it, as the metal is torn.
Can someone help with some advice?
Thanks
Tony

Look up tempestv8 on the members list. He had this problem and took it to a body work guy I think and they welding and gussetted the mount.
I havent had this problem and have been over some rough roads for lots of kms's. Guess its the luck of the draw...
