    Removing automatic gear select lever

    Can anyone tell me how to take the gear selector knob off the auto gear lever? RAVE CD doesn't say, and it doesn't seem to twist off? No doubt something simple, but I'm missing it at the moment. Many thanks.

    haynes manual

    As stated in Haynes manual

    step 1
    Pull the selector lever knob sharply upwards to release it

    step 2
    Recover the spacer from the leaver

    step 3
    Carefully prise the selector panel upwards

    You will need to give a good pull up it dose work thats the way I did it when I needed to pull mine apart

    Put it in neutral push the button grab with both hands and PULL!!!!!

    But be careful not to smack yourself in the head when it finally gives way..............

    My Haynes manual said "Place in DRIVE"
    Worked for me
    Only just missed the smacking though.
