New toy ??? O'brians Sat?
Cheers.
ok after spending the afternoon researching whether I have this or not on my 01 Disco ( only has hi/low up down lever in car), i crawled under and had a feel around.
Above the tail shaft where it leaves the transfer case on top of the transfer case and about 2 inches to the rear, there is a taller type threaded stud, about 3/4 of an inch long with a nut wound down to the base of it. Is this what I am looking for to see if I have CDL at hand.
Directly behind this threaded stud is a plug with two wires coming out of the top of it, if this helps with understanding the actual position.
There is another nut, or possibly a bolt head next to the stud, but it sits flush with the top of the transfer case.
Im sort of hoping this is it. Its right below where you would expect the lever to come thru the floor.
I know this has all been spoken about before, as I have been reading for ages, I just want to confirm Im looking at the right thing is all.
Can anyone shed some light,
Cheers,

I won,t have my b4 there though, (head, sump, timeing case off) but I need the drink
Cheers.
Sounds about right, but to check get a 10mm spanner on to it, right at the base. The spanner obviously won't grab the thread, but there is a flattened portion at the base the 10mm will slip onto. Alternativley put an m8 nylock nut on it, and you should be able to activate if al the gear is there.
NIck
just crawled under for another look, and its exactly the same.
One thing i noticed while under there was a really loose wire terminal, circled in red here.
Not really sure what its for exactly, but def needs a fix up.
thanks baz for the use of the pic
