Another thing is, it could be the interior or your turbo hoses deteriorating.

    Just to give another option.

    Baz.
Just wondering also I have a 99 td5, at idle and 730 rpm the maf displays 56,at 3000 and in neutral around 370, at what point should she read 500??
I suspect its no good, but unsure when I should have the 500 reading. Driving or in neutral.
It does hit 500ish when under acceleration.

    G'day Baz,
Was just wondering if you ever got any more info on this issue, as I can't seem to find anything...??

you should have a plus 500 figure under load, ie driving up a big hill, maybe even flooring it from the lights.

    cheers phil
