LR Servicing specialists N of Brisbane? Feedback?

    Hi All,

Relative newcomer, to the forum and D2's. Not mechanically minded at all, but love LR's. I know there is an inherent issue/problem/dilemma with this because LR and servicing/mechanical issues seem to go hand in hand.

But I'm a bit of an addict, with a love hate relationship with LR's (mostly love though). Like a drug addict I know they are not good for me ( given my non mechanically minded "affliction") Wife has a Freelander 2001 and I bought a D2 (V8), mainly to tow a 3 ton + boat. Needed something relatively cheap with some grunt, which could be used for the odd off road experience. I guess I was a classic case that all you seasoned ones out there have seen all before. Bought on the cheap and then very quickly had to pretty much replace the engine and a heap of other stuff. Now I have already spent so much (with much more to go) on the 'addiction" (D2) that I probably would have to drive it for life to recoup the capital "investment". Water under the bridge however...........

Now that I have accepted my "fate" I have resolved to slowly but surely get the D2 to a level of decency so the wife would not mind to drive it and so that it could reliably do about 5,000 - 10,000 km's per year, mostly mom's taxi, towing the boat and some camping trips here and there.

Secretively I like the "predicament" BUT seeing that I inevitably need to "align" myself and a heap of my cash to a reliable LR Servicing specialist, in addition to hours of trawling on this very helpful forum.......
Long story I know, but with the intro over.....here is the help that I'd appreciate, :

I know of the following LR Servicing specialists on the N side of Brisbane:

    1. MR Auto - Redcliff
    2. Rovertech - Brendale
    3. House of Rover - Albion

Any of you know/have feedback about/or have used any of them? If so how would you rate them in terms of reliability/cost/and customer service (especially with a novice like me).

Are there any other's worth considering?

    Thanks
    The Grange

    MR - NO BRAINER.
They are the ducks nuts. Excellent work, thorough (sometimes too much), reasonably priced, and very helpful. I travel from Yeronga to them for servicing now, and it's worth the time and money.

No idea about Rovertech, wouldn't go near a few in Brissy, especially the "House" mentioned, after a costly unpleasant experience in the past, and a recent enquiry.
Over the last 7 years, in addition to MR, I've used 3 dealers, 2 Southside LR specialists, 2 Northside LR specialists and Rick's on the Gold Coast.

MR at Redcliffe, Ricks 4WD Nerang, and British Off Road on the Sunny Coast are the only ones I would use or recommend for servicing around here.
