When the ones on Charlie started fading I used Autoglym Bumper & Trim Gel.
It worked very well and only needs a re-application once a year or so to keep them looking nice and dark.
Cheers

As I speak my RH rear is sitting waiting for the primer to dry.
I used bumper Black paint from supercheap but didn't sand enough so now I have hit it harder with60 then 400 and sprayed with Septone high build primer from Supercheap, and after it is dry , hit it lightly with 800 then paint with the black.
The other stuff such as back to black, kitten etc etc doesn't last long on my car.
Regards Philip A
BTW I was just considering whether to remove the rest as they are a bitch to mask up.

Havnt done the flares as yet but i do polish the mudflaps![]()
Is there a trick to removing them prior to sanding and painting?...mine are well overdue for some treatment...
I got the impression everyone did theirs on the vehicle lol (at least I'll do mine that way.. eventually). With some pretty dedicated masking/protection of the panels it should work. I certainly wouldn't want to fuss around with those things new, let alone aged and probably brittle
