    15 x 8 D2 Wheels

Does anyone have fitted to their D2 15" wheels?

    If so what type?

    OR

Are 16" wheels the minimum due to the brake rotor and caliper?

Would be good if you could get them, more variety of tyre sizes to choose from, but gee it would be a tight squeeze over those brakes.

Some guys in the states run 15's on there D2's. The offsets look pretty big though. I think it's only a specific type of 15" steely that fits and it's very tight at that. There's a guy on the LRRForums that has it. I'll try to dig up the link tonight and post it up here. Stay tuned.

    Cheers

    Thanks for the info.

I went out after work today and tried a 15" steel rim up to the brakes to see if it clears. From what I could tell without having one that has the right stud spacing, it should fit, especially if the brake shroud has been removed or trimmed.

So now just to work out the correct back spacing etc. to fit 265/70/R15 on the D2. By the way 265/70/R15 works out to 752mm or exactly 14mm larger than standard fitment tyres for anyone who is in QLD and wants the maximum legal tyre size. Also, a 245/70/R16 is 750mm for anyone running a 16" rim and you can get All Terrains in this size.

It's good that the tyre size is legal but to fit them you'll need a 2 inch lift and i think the combo of the tyres and the lift is illegal (2 inch height in total tyres, suspension, body) so you're stuffed either way
