I apologise if I've got this in the wrong forum, electronics seemed like the way to go
I have a 2000 Disco TD5 I purchased 8 months ago with 75,000km on the odometer - it has an electronic odometer (or LCD??). I've noticed in the far left space, where the 100,000's number would be, there is 'something' in that space. If you think of the LCD number set up, it is the bottom left, and middle line, but nothing else. It could conceivably be a 2, if some of the LCD had burnt out. Is this a place holder type thing common to all electronic odo's in the TD5? Or should I be concerned that my car has 200,000 more km's than what I paid for? Is there any way to check, or do I have to wait until it ticks over to 100,000 (or 300,000)
Cheers
The odometer reading is also stored in the ECU.
Been a while since I played with my Nanocom and laptop, pretty sure it shows the stored ECU km.
Im sure anybody nearby would be happy to plug theirs in and have a look.
