Sorry I forget about the accident at Zygi Naval base
Hiya Rosieposie
Sadly things are happening in almost slow motion here due to the disruptions in power and communications we are suffering as a direct result of the national disaster. We are trying our very best however and it should not be too long.
Sorry I forget about the accident at Zygi Naval base
No worries RosiePosie. Thanks for your and everyones understanding and patience in such times of crisis.
This actually could not have come at a worse time for us, as not only are we trying to beta test the 2,06 upgrade for the Nanocom one, and of course introduce the same for the Evolution, but we are also trying to build and ship the new Nanocom Evolutions to the many patiently waiting customers we have. We also have other un mentioned and even worse aspects causing us quite some additional problems.
So it really is very trying when you get un announced power cuts for up to five hours of a seven and a half hour working day.
For those not familiar with events, Cyprus is a pretty laid back place, and It's a well accepted fact that the Cyprus Governement and all officials here are typically more incompetant than most.
So in 2009 when the Barack administration insisted Cyprus conviscate no less than 98 full size shipping containers of assorted and unknown munitions, the Cyprus government did so.
However if they had someone competent enough to research the best place to store these containers, they would have found that the place they chose was absolutely the very last place they should have. IE right next to the Countries Main Power station
If they had consulted anyone about how to store them, they would have also known that the Pyramid fashion that they chose was also the worst possible configuration.
To give you some idea of how utterly obvious this event on the 11th of July really was
The fire brigade were called out on the 6th of July to see what they could do in respect of the containers making fizzing noises and expanding under the heat.
Here is a picture that they took of what an expanding container actually means
Hardly surprising that one of the containers in the middle got so hot as to explode the whole lot in a reported 1.5 Megaton blast.
Amazingly they are only now considering that there may have been radioactive material present in one or more of the containers, which has thankfully yet proven negative.
But regardless of whatever blame or stupidity aspects there are, we simply have to live with the consequences and power cuts and adapt as best we can.
What we want to see is the post blast crater pics.
Well It's a bit off topic but as you ask x 2, here is a close up Satellite picture of the area before the Explosion.
The stack of containers can be seen about a Third in from the left and about a third up from the bottom. And it is quite clear to see that you could not have got them much closer to the Power station![]()
If you can't pick them out, Maybe this picture of the same are area will help show you where they were
Also a close up of the container area before and after
And another amazing shot of one of the containers bulging, and yes that is firemen walking along the container next to it

I just took delivery of a Hawkeye version 5. Bought from Paddack Spares, delivered to my door for $420.
Am more than happy with it. Check out "The D2 Boys Club" forum for a more balanced view on them in regards to the D2.
I have just reached a new nirvana, a completly faultless D2. No lights, no codes and no worries with this little box in my glove box.
Should I have waited for a nanocom, don't know? However my Hawkeye is not restricted to just one VIN, it is restricted to one vehicle model i.e. the D2.
Yea Pedro_the _swift, it's estimated it will take over 18 months and 700 Million to repair it.
Freightdog, i am pleased that you are happy with your choice. It is always nice to know your Vehicle is totally Fault code free
However, i take it from your comment
that you incorrectly believe that the Nanocom is restricted to one VIN.Should I have waited for a nanocom, don't know? However my Hawkeye is not restricted to just one VIN
Might i enquire as to why you believe this is so?
