Resetting the boost cut stops the ecu from being reflashable?
That is the biggest load of rubbish I have ever heared.
When the ecu is to be flashed the ecu receives a command to put it in a bootloader mode. A bit like doing a software upgrade on your mobile phone.
So it resets, goes into bootloader and reflashes the variant and fuel maps if using a nanocom.
Then when you ignition off and back on the ECU boots as normal.
Also remember the NNN TD5 ecu can be brought back to life from a bad reflash non boot situation without desoldering using a special tool that I know Gary has, so even with a totally dead ecu you can reflash it.
The boost cut will not stop the ECU from being reflashed either by the OBD port or special tool... Ever.

    He's having you on.
What can be made is, change software and hardware ID and change checksum for this. This will not affect ECU, but will affect some interfaces / protocol @ the map download and upload process ! Of course, the full 256kb writting of the 29f200 will always be available and completly open!

I appreciate what you are saying TD5Iside and you are correct.
It's just the statement told to blackdef is completely false.
Adjusting the boost limiter will not make the render the ECU unflashable in any way.

Psidoc what Im trying to say is: Gary remapme the ecu and change the overboost, after he Lock the ecu for security!! Than i can't change the fuel map with my nanocom. Im sorry if i have written a lot of rubbish but i have many problem with this languge.

No blackdef. It not you posting rubbish. Sorry if you thought it was.
You are being told rubbish by Gary. I guess if he can work out how to do it he's going to cripple the k line. Which also means no diagnostics from the ecu or resyncing the immobiliser as it uses the same diagnostic line. That's even worse. Buyer beware there.

I really don't know how Gary do. It's his work, not mine, I repair chill blaster, gary modify the ecu, i only write what he told me. Obviusly i hope the diagnostic is still possible after remap...

And I for one am sorry to see him go as he helped me a lot by analyzing my Nanocom dump to id a faulty MAF.

He is very knowledgeable about TD5 electronics but understandably does not appreciate argument about his conclusions.

If you are out there Offtrack , come back we need you!

    Regards Philip A

I was sad to see Paul leave, the forum lost a great member who contributed a great deal of advice and information.

I guess if his website is down ... well, he may have flogged his D2 ????

Paul had other, more involved and behind the scenes reasons for leaving the forum.
However I will echo the sentiment that we lost a great contributor and a genuinely nice guy.
Had been looking for his website for ages, sorry to hear it's down, However I highly doubt he sold his d2
