Can anyone tell me why my Evo MKII would be cutting out all the time. I plug it in and it runs for a while and then just goes blank. Cannot restart it from screen and have to unplug and plug it abck in to get it going and then it may run for 1 2 or 5 minutes and goes blank again.
Seems worse since I just did the upgrade which tells me it installed sucessfully. Any suggestions appreciated.

Mine used to do this, either freeze or shutdown.

Has been perfect after the, eventual, upgrade. I had massive issues and had to resort to the jumper removed upgrade and even then had to run a few times both jumperless and then jumpered before it would work again.

I used to have this problem. You should be able to restart by not disconnecting but just touching the screen for about 10 seconds (thanks dswatts). I did this for a couple of weeks and voila - it now works normally 99% of the time - don't know if it will work for you but worth trying - keep away Murphy!

I had those troubles with starting a while ago, the black box crew help with suggestions and ideas and tried to do the upgrade, I couldn't get it and they raised a RMA for me, I was about to book the courier to send it back and thought I would try again and it bloody worked, I got the new upgrade in and was working great, I put it away for a couple of months and got it out the other day and had some issues again with it starting the reading the slabs, and other sections, tried the upgrade again but did not seem to help this time, Ron at BBS was great helping me to try different methods of upgrade, in the end no good so they arranged another RMA so I arranged the courier and now its jet setting its way back to its makers. If anyone has to send theirs back the courier prices can be staggering, in the end I found this web site http://www.interparcel.com.au/ and went with the TNT quote.

I got my EVO back this week and after lots and lots of emails back and forth with Chris from BBS, he tested my EVO till he could test no more, he could not find any issues with it and the only thing that could be figured out was it could a inconsistent power or earth problem from my Disco's OBD socket. It was decided when I got it back was to try using the 12v power plug as well as the OBD and hey presto it seems be all good my end now so if anyone else having issues like this it would be suggested to try this before sending back as I had to pay for the service back as well. I would like to give Chris a huge pat on the back for all of his help and no end of communication to try and sort out my problem and it looks like it payed off big time for us both
