sorry , been through the many threads (hrs of reading) but can't seem to find a concise answer to my question. which unit will allow me to code my injectors when i replace them in the next few months. cheers in advance . shane.
I went with the BAS put my order in for BAS2 RRC 170ABHP along with intercooler and hoses.
I too love the idea of using the iPhone
The Nanocom seems like the tool to go for if you are not chasing more power and want a diagnostic and fault clearing tool. And costs a lot less.

Colin will know, just allow for the time zone difference when getting a reply.
An email to BAS is also worth while.
I'm fairly sure these units are used for resetting the PVC/injector reading with the upgraded tunes they sell.
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Just to clarify...
Can I use the Nanocom to flash my ECU with a BAS remap?
I like the diagnostic capability of the Nanocom, but would like to be able to use its functionality to load a new ECU remap when the time comes.
Cheers!
No, jyou need the BAS dongle

No the Defender 2.2 is not full OBD tuning without a patch put in the ecu prior to tuning being needed, you would need my BAS2RRC and unlocked ecu package for tuning on the 2.2 Defender.
Functions it has built in are...
Apple iDevice application available for its control via the BAS2's Bluetooth Smart enabled hardware.
PC application software for updating the BAS2 RRC tool and its firmware.
Diagnostic fault code reading and clear with worded text and snap shot data shown where present.
Live engine data logging with numerical and graphical views.
Save and export logs as PDF or CSV files.
DPF service functions, engine adaptation resets, clearing adaptive values.
Airflow meter reset, Fuel lift pump reset, Turbocharger replacement reset.
Storage of both original and tuned remap calibration files.
Injector coding reprogramming or replacement.
Defender 2.2TDCi oil counter reset.
Defender 2.2TDCi Renew security ID use for fitting new PCM's
Flash programming of the engine ecu applying the latest engine calibration files.
Switch between BAS Remap standard and remapped calibrations at your leisure.
