I see Grenadier posted a reply to all the issues related to that video…

It looks like it was water ingress593857174_3270446259791483_5586437658621249655_n.jpg

I'm guessing the first two were pretty instantaneous, maybe the water lay in a belly of the IC then the bumps or extra power to climb out the dry creek caused the water to be moved further down the intake tract into the engine.
    I’d say you nailed it

Yep, good assessment. I wonder if John Canny will publish a retraction video.

As JC Auto Expert said there has been some very selective video editing taken place.

Thanks, Nick. I saw he'd posted but debated watching as I have difficulty with the, errr, presenter. I'll give him a go.

Worth a look. Can’t link for obvious reasons. But he gives an honest assessment of the whole situation.

Don’t get out of your depth. Well, not without a snorkel.

He raises a good point about the time and distance between the river crossing and the failure and the drainage of the intake. However there is a significant possibility that the water had already passed into the intercooler already, and the bumps and power used for the dry creek crossing caused it to enter the engine at that time. Purely speculative on my part of course, but possible.

I suggest the posters on this thread look at Cadogan's latest video. You may be surprised at the reality of the situation. Note the video was taken down by the originator.

Guys please stop posting links to the Cadogan video. His content isn't deemed suitable for the forum due primarily to his flowery language.
