    They are on to something

A email from a oil rig worker.

    With CNN reporting the same.

If the satellite mount cracked then, as well as causing decompression, could it have also caused a fault in the satellite tracking, making the autopilot unable to determine its position and the automatic tracking unable to report its postion. So then the plane goes on travelling on autopilot, but lost and crashes? Interesting theory.

Happened here in Australia a few years back.

A charter flight full of mine workers (can't remember what model - think it was either a Conquest or a Kingair) departed Perth for Leonora. Sometime during the flight, it was found (during investigation after crash) that there had been a slow de-compression of the cabin. Plane did not descend at Leonora, but kept on flying in a straight line, eventually coming down when it ran out of fuel with the loss of all on board.
    Cheers .........

The email from the oil rig worker is genuine in its origin - he identified himself fully.

Yorkie - you are thinking of the Helios crash. It was on Air Crash investigations the other night !
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

There is a short video from a Captain Ryddell, worth a watch. He gives an explanation on perhaps why the aircraft was seen to go off course on radar, Bob
