From what I have heard there were false passports detected on that French plane that went down in the Atlantic Ocean back in 2009. That accident which also killed 200+ people was proven to be pilot error.

A combination of pilot error and tech failure, Jim.

Agreed, Ian. The pilot was relatively inexperienced though.By the time the Captain was called to the flight deck, it was too late.

People travel on stolen or forged documents for all sorts of reasons which may or may not be relevant to the case of the missing MH flight. Only time will tell.

I know of someone in the NZ customs, he said each week (from memory) there are up to 1400 names and or stolen passports a week they upload into the customs database from Interpol. Surely looking at the database would help catch a few criminals along the way and one or two serious guys as well and improve overall security for people as well..

The suspect oil slicks have turned out to belong to a ship, the mystery deepens.

This whole deal seems to get more and more strange by the minute.

Apparently, the tickets that were used by the people with the stolen passports were purchased by an Iranian man.

It also sounds like there may be more suspect passports...

I wonder if something as stupid as the wrong fuel can be put into a jet.

Its just strange that no mayday was sent out.

    guess time will tell.

    Cheers Ean
