Do they simple accept that the plane really did crash into the ocean? Past experience suggests they are unlikely to do that.

It is more likely that they will simply concoct a more elaborate, even less plausible theory.

Look, I think it's pretty obvious the flaperon was ripped of the aircraft in the hanger, sent to Australia and then taken just off shore in a tinny and tossed in. They would have got it there earlier but Auspost lost the box with the flaperon inside.

The Australia Post reference makes that a very plausible theory.

I think I am already on ASIO's watch list.

Back in the mid 60's, a friend of mine contacted the Chinese embassy and was sent a very nice Chinese drawing of a horse.

I thought a drawing like that would look good on my wall, so I also wrote to the Chinese embassy.

All I received was a little book of the sayings of Chairman Mao.

I wonder if these days I would have my Australian citizenship revoked for making contact with the Chinese embassy.

No doubt others have copied the style, but the Chinese drawings were a fairly simple, flowing style.

    This example is fairly typical.

The whole MH370 thing is a cover up.

even if that Flaperon is positively identified as from MH370 it does not mean that it came down in the ocean, either the parts manifest could be altered or the Aircraft is in a hanger at Diego Garcia with a Flaperon missing because someone was tasked to chuck it in the ocean to justify the search effort !!!
For 18 months in the water there is bugger all barnacles on it.
Why did we antifoul our yacht every 12 months. Even with that expensive paint it looked worse than that.

Well, partly because you live in Queensland, not the southern Indian ocean - barnacle growth is to a significant extent dependent on water temperature as well as the level of nutrients in the water. And the supply of free swimming juvenile forms of the barnacles, which will be much more prevalent close to where there are a good supply of adults on rocks, yachts, shipwrecks etc.
