One of the greatest aviation mysteries ever.
It'll be found when it's ready, and not before.
Personally, I think they'll call off the search, and it'll be found during a search for something else in 30 years or so.
I think the search is scheduled to be called off later this year and yes it will be stumbled upon some time much later on. Unless of course it is rumoured to have a couple of Tons of gold on it. In which case it will be found post haste.
Cheers, Billy.
Keeping it simple is complicated.
It's not that much of a mystery. We know roughly where it crashed, just that it is big and deep so like trying to find a needle in the proverbial.
We also know it broke up on impact with the ocean due to the debris found.
The only thing we don't know is exactly what happened, and if it was (initially) accidental or malicious. It is pretty clear it kept going till it ran out of fuel and then fell from a height.
It is a similar case to several others others:
Helios flight 522
The Learjet 35 crash that killed Payne Stewart: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1999_S..._Learjet_crash
The only thing that calls this into question is the unscheduled course changes in the MH370 case.
I can't understand why would both pilots ignore the cabin altitude warning? I think there's more to the story than a simple depressurisation.
Some one should tell him Indiana Jones was in a movie.
The real-life Indiana Jones who won't give up MH370 search
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
