Thread: Plane carrying Chile soccer stars found, 50 years on

That looks like some type of jet engine and that tailplane is definitely from a fast aircraft, possibly a commuter jet aircraft. The scene doesn't look like somewhere high in the Andes.

The linked article calls the aircraft a jet then shows a propeller and says DC3.

I'm a bit confused.

Considering the photo above has buildings & powerlines around it, I think it's a generic 'file' photo of a plane crash.

I thought the same - a stock image.
