Yeah thats basically what this topic was for... basic price for barge is $65 per Landy and $35 per trailer... am trying to wait a bit longer to get an idea of how many are actually meeting at 10 so can organise a group discount... last time we went over with a group we got down to $50 per landy with trailer.

Also for those who don't know how to be self-sufficient to ask questions

Have to agree with you on topic of coversation being s###. on trip to frazer my concerns are more about what time on Friday do we meet? and where? are we travelling in convoy from the coast? or are we just going to meet at the rangers station in Rainbow beach and if so what time? With a group booking what are the ferry fees ($90.00 return per vehicle) park access ($25.00 for 48hrs) camping fees is there any discount with 15 vehicles and unknown people. Also when camping on the beach water is a concern too as there are no taps to turn on 8O I found 20 lts is not enough for 2 people for 2 days, just a thought :!:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>Also for those who don't know how to be self-sufficient to ask questions
Ok folks, here is my shopping list ( in bold) / what I have ( italics) to be self sufficient, please let me know if I have missed anything. Also with the fridge/freezers, do you normally have that in the car during the day whilst plugged in then overnight still plugged in? And if so is that likely to drain the battery. I have seen the Waeco's with a charger/battery setup- is it worthwhile getting one of those? I know Drivesafe has mentioned that with the D3 it can have a dual battery set up ( correct me if I am wrong mate) but that will be a while off yet. Thanks,

Stevo, if you have all that you will be better prepared than most I would think.

As for the fridge, you would find that say a Waeco cf50 would run your battery flat fairly quickly ( and they have the smaller bd35 motor ).

So I would think another form of power would be a good idea, one of those Waeco power packs would be great , you can run the fridge through the power pack and while you are driving it is plugged into your car.

When you turn your car off the frige then only takes power from the power pack.

Then you have the freedom of taking the fridge anyware yuo can take the power pack.

Also Stevo, just a thought only 2 of the Waeco's can be fridge and freezer at the same time (cf80 & cf110) all the others can only be all fridge or all freezer

The cf80 & cf110 have 3 compartments but they are a fair bit bigger in size and have the bd55 motor with is fairly heavy on power.

I only have what is in italics, the items bolded is what is on my shopping list to buy. Just wanted to know if there was anything I may need/ havent thought of. Thanks for the info on the fridges etc, was not sure how that all worked. I have plug in points in the boot for fridges/ appliances etc, sounds like a powerpack with fridge/freezer is the go,

    Regards

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>just a thought only 2 of the Waeco's can be fridge and freezer at the same time
thanks mark, didnt know that, obviously for a short stay like Fraser, the fridge component should suffice ( Im assuming), and I was looking at I think its the 40 ltr as I think it is a while off before I am trekking off into the great unknown for weeks on end at this stage. If I were Id be more likely to buy a camper trailer so my partner would be enticed to come along. However in that size are there other brands that can be fridge/freezer at same time?? Thanks again,

    Regards

    Stevo

P.S thanks for the visuals Grimace 8O < I ll be sure to be upstream from you
