Had an interesting day today.
Had to go to Pirtek in Springvale and whilst there, was talking to a fellow who admires our heritage immensely it seems.
He travels up to Mansfield way to go motor bike riding, and the property owner is constantly towing out near new Toyotas and Nissans with his old Series1 Ute and SW.
He reckons he will get a Defender
On leaving Pirtek, I followed out a very nice looking D2 as he was leaving the caravan park there.
Leaving work late this arvo, pulled up at the lights (just near Pirtek), a P38 pulled up beside me, I looked across to see the woman driver smiling. I'm thinking, cool, this chick knows a good car when she see's it,, (she couldn't possibly be looking at a grotty looking shabby old Defer driver, its gotta be the car
). As she passes me just up the road, I see in her rear window a sign for Rova Range (?) auto repairs,,, now me thinks she see's the $$$ she could be earning fixing our cars,,

Leeanne was in Albury this last weekend and spotted a G4 Defender, (outside the cop shop)
She forgot to check the number plate, but wondering if it was David from Adelaide (?)
So, shifty looking people drive Defenders.
You know, I think you may be right.
I'll tell you something, I have never seen so many Defenders, Range Rover Sports and Discoverys on the road as what was on the beach road between St Kilda and Seaford.
I did like that D3. It had a UHF and dual battery system. It looked as if it had been used for touring towing a camper.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
I see regularly two white D1's around Chelsea area one near stock and the other with a lift, muddies, flares, bars etc. Most times I wave but realise they can't see me through the tinted windows of mine. Oh well I still always wave.
