When I was a young AAC officer in Sydney, I heard of a Major(AAC) Mitchell who I think was in Dubbo and apparently he did do a cracking cockatoo call!

Even now there is a Lt Col(AAC) Major - great bloke too! I genuinely mean no disrespect. I recall one of the other officers making comment at a dinner when he was either Captain Major or Major Major - he wasn't impressed, if he had a dollar for every time...
    Cheers

Sargent Sherrif was a very nice policeman in Western Vic. (RIP)

I worked with Dr Ho and know that for calling attention as well as another meaning (RIP)

A sailor Dick was not the captain yet at times ....

Call out my name in a crowd and too many people respond Not saying that's unfortunate just funny

My GP is Doctor Nurse. But nothing is unfortunate about her

Shades of Catch 22, but I worked with a Ron Major, who had been a sergeant in the Green.

There was a member of this forum who was in the Army. Initially, he was Lieutenant James Cook but the last time I spoke with him, he’d been promoted to Captain.
