G'Day All: )
Couldn't think where this thread would be most suited!
90-130 Defender : Repro 'Fender body
Disco1-2: the chassis
Technical: Not asking any questions
Marketplace: Nothing firm yet

Anyway, I digress.
As many of us probably have dreamed of a Hard looking body on a sophisticated Chassis (Not that, Ethil!), I've been looking at options of retro fitting a 100/ 110 body on a Disco or Rangie like Mater or THE 109's rigs.
Rightly someone suggested not hacking up vehicles that are rarer and rarer.
I have a solution

Found editorial in a UK Kit mag that allfourx4 was bringing these in. Unfortunately allfourX4 are not aware of this.
Trying to get some clear info on pricing, hell, I might become an agent!!

I must admit if there was a 100" defender type body i would do it. I love the disco but really like the looks of the defender

There was a series of articles in Land Rover Monthly (UK) of a defender Truck cab with a cut down 110 rear tub on a Disco 1 chassis, same as a Range Rover Chassis,it was a series of the complete build Jan-March 2010 issues from memory, very nice lime green thingy

ther are some good hybrids in that mag, like the V6 freebee body on a Disco 300tdi chassis for trials and offroad work looked brilliant

Would love to build a Defender on a Rangie 100" chassis like the guy did in the 4x4 is Born TV show.

He just cut and rewelded the rear tub to make it all fit properly and chop outriggers and move them to attach the bulkhead and allow the fuel tank to fit.
