you make a fatal error here presuming voters in the main give a dam about policies. If they did, Rudd would win hands down with his strong social reforms which naturally favour the community. They really don't care, it's all about personalities nowadays and colour and movement. Clearly labour under Rudd has got the resources sector off-side who with endless amounts of (our) money can and will (unless they get their way) do Labour serious harm in the next election. Look out for a revised mining and resources tax soon
